 Bigfoot

Somewhat ambient trance

A thumping bassline, some echoey guitar strings, synths and lots of swishing.

The soundtrack to my daily commute last Summer. Makes me think of a tunnel.

Techno. not quite hardcore but getting there

Sit back, relax, click play, gently let your head swell up and explode.

Ambient trance

Give it some time to get going, and listen out for a rather well-known voice.

Lots of synths, phaser and filtering effects.

It's possible that I'm the only one who finds this listenable, and I'm quite mad.

 Orange

11th November 2005

Ambient and slow

A distorted violin, strange liquid noises and lots of crackling.

 Glum 'n' Bass

Wall of sound

"Vox"-type instruments, strings, beeping and a fairly mechanical rhythm.

 Nations Unite

Electronic randomness

Named after the sample it uses (a speech advocating the founding of the UN, I believe).

It's seems to me a little bit Royksopp-ish (although obviously not as good).

I don't often use the "choir" instruments either...

 Frère Jacques (extended mix)

19th October 2005

Cheesy to the max

Some people might question whether the world needs a techno mix of Frère Jacques, and seriously doubt that it needs extending, but...

...I don't really have an excuse, to be honest...

 Noisy Abstraction

12th October 2005

Strange melodies with rhythm and bass

It sounds slightly muffled, I think that was deliberate...

Similar sort of style to Orange.

 Middle Kingdom

25th September 2005

Relaxed; Asian-instruments

I started on this just after I got back from China.

It features an instrument called a Kanun (although technically that's Turkish) and flutes. Also an electric guitar and synths for buildup.

Point of interest: One of the melodies (starts at 2:10) is from a very very old MIDI I made at the age of about 14.

Oh yes, and this version is a bit broken, because after a long silence at the end is a short melody that shouldn't be there...

about

A PC, a MIDI keyboard and a lot of spare time...

Click to play, or right-click the song title to download.

I'd love to work with people on multimedia projects (flash cartoons, games, whatever) or get my stuff played somewhere.
